There are countless ways and reasons to make a salad. Many people choose salad as a way to reduce calories in their diet, some make salads for dessert. Just because it has salad in the title does not mean it is healthy and low calorie.
I don't think it is necessary to cut back on flavor when you are cutting back on calories. I know if I sacrifice flavor for fewer calories I am not likely to continue eating healthy. I would rather eat smaller portions of something I enjoy than large portions of tasteless, low-calorie "good for you" food.
So, the salad recipes I offer here are full of flavor and are low in calories, too!
